ChatGPT-5 and GPT-5 rumors: Expected release date, all we know so far

We will be expanding access

In short, InstructGPT is less of an asshole—unless it’s asked to be one. The new model is available today for users of ChatGPT Plus, the paid-for version of the ChatGPT chatbot, which provided some of the training data for the latest release. It’s certainly pushing the boundaries of what we thought was possible just a few months ago. GPT-4 is great at generating code and explaining it, crafting interesting writing, and assisting with research.
